Dartmouth Regatta

Dartmouth Regatta is the Town’s biggest event of the year and for 2019 will run from Thursday 29th August and will finish with fireworks and a rock band on Saturday 1st September.  On the water the main attraction is a full programme of rowing events which will ensure some spectacular and hard-fought races. The sailing attracts many visiting yachts from the South Coast and further afield and rivals all but Cowes amongst Regattas in the UK.

There are many other Regatta activities which take place over the period, including a popular tennis tournaments, road races for children and adults and the ever popular Spot the Oddity.

There will be a fun fair and the Market Square will be filled with stalls selling Marquee many local craft stores and delicious food.

Due to the Royal status of Dartmouth Regatta, there is normally a Royal Navy Guardship and a collection of Tall Ships and vintage sailing craft.

There is a spectacular firework display on Saturday with the reflections off the water and echoes around the valley make for a fabulous event.
